Heroines With Bite: Strong Heroine Fantasy and Paranormal Romance Reviews

Heroines the Bite Logo

Fierce Women. Fierce Reviews.

Fantasy romance and paranormal fiction for readers who demand strong heroines, real agency, and stories with teeth.

Women do not beg for power here. They take it.

The Rule of This Realm

At Heroines With Bite, we review fantasy and paranormal romance through one uncompromising lens: the strength of the woman at the center of the story. We are here for agency, resilience, growth, and power earned, not handed over.

If the heroine is passive, diminished, or written to be saved instead of to rise, we will call it out. If she commands the page, claims her space, and owns her choices, we will celebrate her.

The Heroine’s Vault

Enter at your own risk! These are the stories where women fight back and win.

The Woman Behind the Bite

I read for power, agency, and growth. I am here for women who fight back, think for themselves, and refuse to be written small. I have no patience for fragile heroines, lazy character work, or stories that mistake suffering for depth. With a background in copy editing and proofreading, I also judge the craft itself. Sloppy execution does not get a free pass.

Heroines With Bite was created as a space for readers who want more. More strength. More backbone. More substance. If a heroine earns her crown, I will champion her. If she does not, I will say so.
